As we all know Covid cases are increasing day by day. It's impact can also be seen in all the teams of IPL. Therefore IPL could even be cancelled for this year and Mahi declared that this is his last match

KKR = The most visible effect of Covid 19 can be seen in KKR. Two players in playing 11 of KKR are came to be positive in Covid test. It includes one of the pillar of the team named Varun Chakravarthy. This led to quarantine whole the team in a hotel
CSK = CSK also faces same problem. It's assistant coach Balaji's report is Covid positive which led to quarantine whole team.
DC = However there is no direct effect of Covid 19 is shown on DC accept Amit Mishra. But due to this Covid 19 DC's one of the most valuable player R.Ashwin refused to play this year. Also DC played it's last game with KKR which increases the danger of Covid and force this team to be quarantine
PBKS = No player in PBKS is Covid positive but it played it's last match with DC. Due to which it too have to go in quarantine
Mi = Similar effect is shown on Mi. Mi played with CSK which increases the danger of Covid 19 for it too. Therefore they too go in quarantine.
All other team don't show any direct impact of Covid 19 but there most of the player went back to their country which if IPL would play become a danger of loosing IPL trophy.
Another big reason of postponing the IPL is increasing cases in Delhi and Mumbai due to which some people file petition in court for using stadium as Covid centers which decreases the no. of stadium for IPL 2021 from 4 to 2.
